Volunteer Involvement

Serving on the APS Perth Branch Committee for a number of years has been a meaningful way to give back to both the psychological profession and the wider community. In this role, I’ve had the opportunity to support students, early career psychologists, and colleagues by participating in initiatives such as university “Pathways in Psychology” panels, “A Day in the Life of a Psychologist” sessions, and presenting awards that celebrate excellence in the field. I’ve also collaborated with the Student Interest Group to deliver workshops that foster professional development and connection. Through these contributions, I aim not only to strengthen our local psychological community but also to promote the value of psychology to the broader public – helping to increase awareness, accessibility, and trust in mental health services across the wider community.
